Sacramento,CA- The Department of Water Resources (DWR) have reported that the Sierra Nevada snowpack than normal on Thursday which means that we will be in our Third Year of serious water shortage and possibly the worst drought in modern history...
That's not scary at all.
“The low precipitation in
January and snowpack results from today’s survey indicate California
is heading for a third dry year,”
said DWR Director Lester Snow. “We may be at the start of the worst California
drought in
modern history. It’s imperative for
Californians to conserve water immediately at home and in their businesses.”
Apparently the snow pack content is at 61% of what it was last year.
Here are results from today’s
manual survey at Phillips Station and other sites near Lake
