Monterey,Ca- The Monterey Peninsula Water Management District has approved a 7 stage plan which according the the water DEFCON rating each person will be given a limit of water they can use.

“For example, on the Peninsula, the average use is 70 gallons per person per day. If we were to go to stage five that would drop 10 gallons per person per day to 60 gallons per person per day,” Fuerst said.
In addition fines will be implemented based on overage of daily limits.
